Sottozero is looking for a full time Certified Public Accountant to look after the books of our group of companies, based at head office in Malta.

Role: Certified Public Accountant

Location: Head office, Malta

Contract: Full time, indefinite

Reports to: General Manager

About us

Sottozero is an Italian influenced Maltese gelato brand with seven locations and its own production lab, making artisanal gelato in Malta since 2006.

The Role

Bookkeeping and the monthly close for every group company in Xero.
VAT returns, FS5 and FS7, and other tax and payroll submissions.
Year-end files and working with the auditors.
Monthly management accounts, with profit by location.
Cash flow, budgets, and better finance processes as we grow.

You bring

A Malta accountancy warrant (CPA), or ACCA qualified and eligible for one.
At least 3 years in accounting in Malta, in practice or in house.
Strong knowledge of Maltese VAT, tax and payroll.
Xero and Excel. Hospitality or group company experience is a plus.
