When Bernardo joined us as a Recruiter in Malta, moving away from Portugal, he wasn’t just looking for a new job - he was looking for a real career move.

We sat down with him recently to ask what made the move worth it. Here is what he shared:

Expectation vs. Reality

The Fear: Moving abroad can feel overwhelming or isolating.

Bernardo’s Reality: "The multicultural environment made me feel instantly safe and at home. Malta is packed with expats, so you’re never navigating the move alone -it’s relatable, welcoming, and easy to settle into."

The Fear: Getting lost in a company with vague promises of "growth."

Bernardo’s Reality: "The transparency around my career path is complete. I know exactly where I am, where I can go next, and what it takes to get there."

The Fear: Micromanagement or transactional leadership.

Bernardo’s Reality: "The management relationship has been the best gift of all. Having leadership that truly supports and manages with care makes all the difference."

Bernardo’s #1 Advice for Your First 90 Days:

"Follow the process relentlessly. The onboarding and recruitment framework here is really well-structured - and it genuinely works."
